Liturgical Life

On Wednesday 24th September 2025, five Pupils attended St George's Cathedral with our Headteacher for the Annual Diocesan Mass for the start of School Year, celebrated by Archbishop John Wilson.
Over 50 schools, both Primary and Secondary attended. The cathedral was absolutely full with over a thousand worshippers.
We celebrated the Feast of Our Lady of Walsingham, and Archbishop John spoke to us all about what it means to be a Disciple of Hope. Pupils from a number of schools told Archbishop John what hope meant for their lives and personal faith. The cathedral is very beautiful with stained glass windows over the altar. We also had a chance to visit the shrine to St Oscar Romero, who is our class Saint. We also saw a banner about St Carlo Acutis and Pier Georgio Frassati, who were both canonised by Pope Leo on 7th September 2025. After mass, we met Archbishop John and took a photograph with him. We enjoyed Mass very much, were proud to be there, and had a lot of fun. It was a good day. Report by Martina & Mia.
