School Home Support
School Home Support
Dear Parents/Carers
I am a Parent Support Adviser who works for SHS, a national charity which supports children and families with whatever difficulties they may face.
The aim of SHS is to support links between a child’s schools and their family, in order for the child to get the most out of their school life.
As a Parent Support Adviser I understand many of the issues that parents may find difficult to manage and the varied and complex reasons behind persistent lateness or challenging behaviour. As an independent resource, I am available in school to support children and meet with parents and carers in their homes, communities or other more convenient locations.
Some of the areas I can help with include:
• Getting to school on time and good attendance
• Mental or physical health issues
• Engaging parents in their child’s learning
• Parenting support
• Housing and money worries
• Feeling happy and confident
• Family relationships
• Access to specialist support
• Bereavement
• New starts and settling in
…plus much more.
I will be available to Park Hill Infants School in school on Wednesdays from 8.45am to 4pm
Please feel free to contact me should there be anything you would like to discuss.
Kind Regards
Jo Sharp
